During the 5th Bydgoszcz Amber Route Forum, a memorandum was signed regarding the construction of the Bydgoszcz-Emilianowo terminal by 2030 — the year of the revision of the TEN-T core network. Members of Parliament, the Vistula Employers’ Association “Lewiatan,” and social organizations have set an ambitious goal for the Bydgoszcz logistics hub to meet the parameters of the TEN-T core network.
The future of the Bydgoszcz-Emilianowo terminal was also the subject of a debate at the 5th Bydgoszcz Amber Route Forum. “In this area, we are moving in the right direction,” assessed Voivode Michał Sztybel, who noted that the military is supportive of the Emilianowo project. Referring to talks with General Jacek Sankowski from the Ministry of National Defense, he mentioned the potential involvement of the armed forces in the terminal’s construction. Dariusz Kiedrowicz, a member of the Polish Security Pact team present at the conference, also emphasized the potential strategic importance of Emilianowo for national defense.

“This is the first time I’ve seen this area being treated so seriously,” highlighted Voivode Michał Sztybel. In his view, it is possible to obtain funding from the National Recovery Plan (KPO) for the terminal, but it is crucial to finalize the formal concept and related matters within the next six months. A positive development, according to the Voivode, is the agreement between PKP S.A. and the State Forests on a land exchange that would allow construction of the terminal also on forest plots.
The Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivode also denied rumors suggesting that the Ministry of National Defense’s plans to build the Dezamet factory in the area could jeopardize the implementation of the Bydgoszcz-Emilianowo terminal.
During the 5th Bydgoszcz Amber Route Forum, Director Paulina Sosnowska from PKP PLK presented the ongoing investment on railway line No. 201 between Bydgoszcz and Gdynia. The second part of the Forum featured a debate on the Via Pomerania road and the concept of constructing its eastern bypass of Bydgoszcz. The final part of the event focused on discussions about the prospects of building a railway line from Bydgoszcz to Koronowo.
